BIO – DATA OF Late PROF.GANTI SUBRAHMANYAM |

Professor Ganti Subrahmanyam was born on 13-04-1922. He did his Primary-Higher Secondary joined 5th class at P.S.High School, Mylapore, Madras. Passed SSLC in 1937, Intermediate in Presidency College 1937-1939, Bachelor of Engineering Guindy Engineering college, Madras 1939-Dec1942 B.E (Electrical Engineering). He did Master of Science from Stanford University (Premier Institution in the world),USA. His Education in USA : MS dissertation: On the distortion-less detection of carrier, suppressed double sideband signals under the guidance of H.H. Skilling at Stanford University; Frederick Emmons Terman was Dean of Electrical Engineering at Stanford. Did Internship at Marconi Instruments, New York.

He worked as Assistant Professor Electrical Engineering 1948-56. Prof. Hegde and Prof. Jambulingam his colleagues. Worked as Professor of Electrical Engineering at Engineering College, Kakinada under Andhra University after formation of Andhra Pradesh state He was First Professor in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering in Andhra Pradesh 1958-68 and Principal, Govt. College of Engineering, Kakinada from 1968-69. He was Principal Govt College of Engineering, Hyderabad, Registrar JNTU Hyderabad, Director of JNTU 1978-1980 and Retirement at JNTU Hyderabad.

He got married in 1948 and 2 Children Madan Mohan Alumni ECK 1971, worked in Indian Army, US citizen since 1995 and Dr. Krishna Ganti ENT Surgeon lives in Tampa Florida. |
Lived with both sons till died in 1997. |
